A genealogical society thrives on the efforts and talents of its volunteers. The Sample Genealogy Society is no different. As we move forward with many exciting plans for our membership and community, we are need of your help to succeed. Consider giving a few hours of your time to help us grow.

As we go throughout the year, check back on this page often to see what new opportunities we have and become a part of this wonderful process. You will make new friends and lifelong connections.

NGS 2010 Conference (April 28 - May 1, 2010)
No conference can be a success without the assistance of volunteers. We are in need of your help to assist us in as room monitors, registration and hospitality volunteers, traffic monitors and much more. Please join us in welcoming our guests from around the world and showcasing our wonderful home to make this conference a memorable success.

Bag Stuffing
We will be stuffing tote bags for conference attendees on Monday, April, 26th from 9 to 11 am and need about 30 volunteers.

Registration
Registration volunteers help check in attendees to the conference from Tuesday, April 27th - Saturday, May 1st. Shifts are 3 hours long and start at 7 am each day.

Room Monitors
Room monitors are needed for each lecture throughout the conference. Monitors make sure that the needs of the speakers are met and that those attending feel welcome. Volunteers can register to help in single classes or for a block of time in the same room.

Ask Me Guides
Ask Me or Traffic guides assist those attending the conference to find their way around the convention center and answer basic questions about the conference. Ask Me volunteers will be standing and be on 2 hour shifts.

Ask an Expert
Volunteers helping in the Ask an Expert area will assist the consultants with traffic flow and time management. Shifts will be 2 hours long.

To volunteer for this conference, please fill out the volunteer information form and return it to either Luau O'Gill or Johnny Whittaker.
